French’s Point is situated near Stockton Springs in the mid-coast region, with excellent local options for dining, shopping, galleries, and recreational activities. Picturesque nearby coastal villages include Castine, Camden, Rockport, Belfast, Bucksport, Blue Hill, and Ellsworth.
Fly into Bangor International Airport, ME (BGR, our recommendation), a 40-minute drive from French’s Point. You can also fly into Portland, ME; Boston, MA; or Portsmouth, NH. Because the area is relatively rural, a rental car could be useful. Bus and taxi are also available in the region, but very limited.
There is no uber/lyft in this area.
Belfast Harbor Inn

The Homeport Inn
The Homeport Inn and Tavern, built in 1861, is a historic Searsport landmark and luxury inn offering nine guest rooms and easy access to nearby attractions. The inn is reserved exclusively for our guests.

Captain Nickels Inn
This elegant, oceanfront Victorian bed-and-breakfast combines timeless charm with luxurious amenities and sweeping views of Penobscot Bay. Built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the inn is named after its first owner, Captain Albert V. Nickels, who resided here with his wife, Elizabeth, and their eight children.
